කොළඹපුර

කොළඹපුර (Kolambapura) is a browser based open world game set in a Sri Lankan city, and it is Sinhala the whole way down. Not an English game with Sinhala subtitles: the menus, the mission briefings, the street signs, the radio chatter and the character dialogue were all written in Sinhala first.

You start with රු. 500 and a city you can drive across in any direction. Ten story missions run through it, and between them the streets are yours to explore, with traffic, pedestrians, police who take an interest if you give them a reason, and cash and pickups scattered across the map.

It runs on WebGL with no install and no plugin, and it is built and hosted independently of this platform, connected through the standard game bridge like every other game in the catalogue.

Drive with W A S D and steer the camera with the mouse. Press F to get in and out of a vehicle.

Follow the marker on the minimap to reach the next mission. Health drops if you take damage, and cash pickups are scattered around the city. Getting wasted or busted costs you a share of your money, so it is worth driving carefully once you are carrying a lot.

Your progress saves in your browser, so you can close the tab and pick the story back up later.
